Entwined
“I think the source of our sorrow and the source of our joy are intimately entwined.
Our sorrow is that we have forgotten who we are; we have forgotten we are one with that source of all life – absolutely indestructible, perfect, joyful.
The source of our joy is when we remember that.”
Richard Bach
It can be quite easy to forget who we are, or perhaps to never truly know in the first place. In today’s world, there is so much noise and so many falsehoods that we sometimes become sidetracked by our emotions and the opinions of others. I’m not sure that knowing is really the important part, anyway, because I think, at least on some level, we are constantly changing and adapting. It might be enough to exist in the moment, touching the lives of those around us in a manner that leaves no regrets.
Our Thanksgiving was a memorable one, marked by the reunion of a family member after decades of absence. Lots of emotions and rekindled connections to go along with the traditional turkey, stuffing, and gravy. Rewarding and fulfilling in so many ways!
May each of you have found some reward in your Thanksgiving as well.

Wise words in my opinion, “to exist in the moment, touching the lives of those around us in a manner that leaves no regrets.” I’m not sure we can touch lives that leaves no regret unless we can live in the moment. I love the quote and you commentary on it. The photo is okay, too!!! Actually it works wonderfully with the post!! Thank you again!!
Thanks, Monte! In my current thinking, living in the moment doesn’t mean that we can’t cause harm. Perhaps my understanding isn’t entirely clear, but I believe that even now we can make choices and exert influence. I can’t fathom that even the most malevolent individuals never experience moments of full presence; they simply choose to turn those moments into negative experiences. More thinking is certainly required.
I agree entirely with you! What choices we make in each moment can be positive or negative. I like how you think!
