Moment

“You cannot rush a bighorn sheep; it walks only with purpose.” – ourspiritanimal
“Look, bighorn sheep!” It was one of those moments when I quickly pulled over and stopped the car, grabbed my camera, and checked its settings while rushing around the back of the vehicle, arriving just in time before the three sheep walked into the overgrowth. I didn’t have a long lens, so some cropping was done here. I wasn’t sure I had captured a clear photo until we returned home. But, I must admit, the pleasure of the moment was better than the resulting photo, at least to a visitor from the east.

I must say you did get a good shot. I took three and none really came out sharp. And, it was one of those moments.
I managed to get four shots, and this was the only one that caught all three sheep and was pretty much in focus. Credit where credit is due, my old Olympus does have a quick autofocus.
Bonnie told me that what she remembers about this moment was the scary, quick pull-off and stop I made along the road. Haha!
