Signs of Spring
Color wakes the earth,
Whispers of warmth in the breeze,
Spring’s promise unfolds.
Although temperatures occasionally dip below freezing at night, signs of spring are evident. My weather app has even started sending me high-pollen alerts. Oh, joy!

I agree with you, Ken. Four feet of snow is way over most enjoyable limits. My worst allergies won’t kick in for several weeks as pine pollen becomes prevalent. Thanks!

Thank you, Howard. Here, it almost seems we had minimal proper winter except for perhaps a few broken weeks. These days, I regularly think about the saying or curse, “May you live in interesting times.” Indeed we do for various reasons. Take care! 😉
Yes! Absolutely beautiful image, Earl. We also are seeing buds on trees and a touch of green in the meadows. Song birds are returning and letting us know spring is arriving. We were expecting 1-3 inches of snow this morning but we have clear skies and 39 degrees. I’m actually ready for spring rains.

Have been craving a significant warm up here. Nice job with the words / Haiku. I’ve thought about trying it now and then but always chicken out. My monkey brain gets in the way.
Thanks, Mark. I quickly discovered I’m not a “natural” at writing Haiku. It’s hard, so there will probably not be many posted here by my hand. With that warming weather comes thunderstorms and tornados. Today, a small tornado touched down in the NC mountains, causing only light damage.
