Earth Day 2024, Ferns, 22APR2024 – ©2024 Earl Moore Meandering Passage

The earth’s climate is changing, and the best we can do now is to try and mitigate how much it changes.  Sadly, the world I knew as a child with well-defined and temperate seasons may be gone forever largely due to mankind’s actions.  But, with great effort, we can still make a difference.  Otherwise, we may become spectators to our own demise.

  1. I can see those ferns providing a wealth of photo opportunities well into the future Earl! I need to get over my inclination to continue to argue with those pushing falsehoods and misinformation about the climate. I know it is a futile effort, but surely someone has to listen to reason eventually eh? Yeah, I know. Happy Earth Day regardless!

    • Yeah, Mark, I’m “milking” those ferns for every image I can! 😂
Regarding listening to reason, I’m not sure “eventually” will ever come for some. Some are always willing to ignore even the obvious as long as it fits their story or makes them a bit wealthier. I think, too, that the validity of science, in general, unfairly took a hit during the pandemic. While in some cases arguing can be therapeutic, this is a case where you’ll wish you were wrong. Yelp, Happy Earth Day! 🌎

  2. I really like this image, my friend! And, hoping to see more of them in the future. Go ahead and milk’em for all their worth. My biggest concern is what I can do to change even a miniscule part in climate change and abuse of our natural world. What I like is you making and impact on even a small area of this world. May you and I continue to make a difference in the world.

    • Thanks, Monte. I can almost guarantee there will be more fern photos. We can only do so much, and it’s frustrating that it seems so little.
