There’s no frost in the ten-day weather forecast, so we decided to take a chance and do some plantings this weekend.  There’s a shady hillside in the edge of the woods that I decided would look good, covered in ferns with more colorful plants in front.

About a dozen ferns in various states are set out so far, some last fall and some this weekend. I’m waiting to see which of the fall ferns survived the winter.

These are some of the plants we set out and will be covering up if there’s a late frost. 😲

I like this idea and adventure. I look forward to seeing how they all make out. I would hope you also show the whole hillside.
