“Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”

What a week, and it could have been even much worst with hostages and more deaths. It was a coup attempt; let’s call it nothing less. And sadly, I don’t know if this marks an end or perhaps the beginning of a new phase.  I’m afraid those who follow the failed man and leader will continue to follow him…as the would-be King’s 74 million-strong sheeple army.

Good luck to us all this year!

  1. What a week indeed. 2020 isn’t letting us move forward so easily.

    • Mark, I fear we will be dealing with this business for a very long time. Like a disease, hopefully not an eventually fatal one.

  2. It has put me in turmoil with anger and fear. My hope is that it’s the beginning of positive change, for sure a wakeup call. Our world is deeply very wounded and has been for so long. People have access to so much information but very little knowledge or understanding of themselves. They are not who they think they are. I am still unable to articulate the words about my feelings. I also am hopeful it is not a fatal wound.

    • I, too, have been flooded with feelings of sadness, anger, and fear, Monte. Not fear for myself, but fear for this nation, this world, and the future for our children. No one person created this situation, but one surely has had a large role in amplifying, instigating, and giving permission for a dark and evil part of our socially—media, social and conventional, must also take some responsibility for what they built. Let’s hope it is a positive beginning and not just a prolonged ending. Thanks for your thoughts, Monte.
