“The pictures are there, and you just capture them.”

I went for a little leaf-peeping walk yesterday at a nearby park, and while the majority of leaves are still green, leaves are not the only source for bright autumn colors.  Mr. Cardinal flitted into a nearby bramble and then flitted right back out.  Luckily, I was able to quickly make a couple of photos during those moments he so kindly shared.  Such a bright red!

Sometimes I go out with such a preconceived concept of what I’m going to be photographing; it leads to tunnel vision.  I need to remember to always be open and ready for those “gifts” I might receive.

  1. I love the gits nature shares. Some regrets in my life was not spending enough time looking for the gifts. Love the vertical image the best. Thank you Mr. Cardinal and Mr. Earl.

    • Sorry for the slow reply, Monte. A work crew damaged an underground cable in our area leaving us off-line for a while. I like the portrait image as well. Thanks.

  2. Always nice to be welcomed by a forest friend!
