“Perhaps one central reason for loving dogs is that they take us away from this obsession with ourselves. When our thoughts start to go in circles, and we seem unable to break away, wondering what horrible event the future holds for us, the dog opens a window into the delight of the moment.”
― Jeffrey Moussaieff Masson, Dogs Never Lie About Love: Reflections on the Emotional World of Dogs
Our walk this evening included watching the sunset.
Um, someone should tell Maggie that she’s looking in the wrong direction………
LOL While I watch the sunset, she watches everything else. Besides, the back of her head doesn’t make as good of a photo…believe me, I have plenty of those! ;-)
My first thought was just as Paul, she’s looking the other way. :-) But, she is enjoying it with her own senses and her own way. I must say this is a wonderful image, a framer. The sunset ain’t bad either.
We’d been walking and I noticed there were clouds that could lead to a nice sunset, so, I sat down in the grass on a small hillside to watch. Maggie quickly came and stood across in front of me and was watching the RV Park behind us, giving me this chance to capture both her and the sunset with my phone. She usually doesn’t stand still long, but she stood here for as long as I sat. Thanks
Wonderful photo of Maggie!
Mark, thanks…hope you’re feeling better!
