After hours of work, we moved all our possessions from our old Alpine 5th Wheel coach into our new Vilano 5th Wheel Coach…leaving a pile of things we realize we don’t need or use beside the dumpster. We then towed the new rig to Fort Mill, SC, where we’ll be until December 12th.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I’m including here a previous Facebook post of mine to keep everyone updated:
“Even wth a new RV there’s always a few things that need to be corrected under warranty. It was the same with our recent purchase of the Vilano…nothing major and we’d scheduled a visit back to the dealer to have them all corrected in a couple of weeks.
However, this morning we received a call from the Parts and Service Manager at VanLeigh Inc., the Vilano’s manufacturer. They had spoken to the dealer and obviously have a high standard of expected quality. The Service Manager said VanLeigh would personally like go over our coach at the factory addressing all discrepancies and at the same time perform all upgrades they’ve initiated since our unit was built. When we leave North Carolina we’ll be stopping by the VanLeigh factory in northern Mississippi for a couple of days on our way to Texas. It’s certainly nice to know there are still businesses serious about customer service.
We are loving the Vilano and the experience. Hats off to VanLeigh!”
Happy Thanksgiving, you two! That is a nice surprise from the manufacturer and does show a concern for the customer and not just worried about the profit.
Thanks, Monte. I know you’re enjoying your time with family and friends in the southwest.
Like the pic Brooks! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Wow, talk about downsizing! First you sell all your stuff, and then even go through another phase after you have got rid of everything.
Thanks, Mark. I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful as well. Yeah, we’re about down to the bare essentials but I certainly don’t feel like we’re “roughing it.” Perhaps the most important lesson learned thus far is, they’re just things and while you may think you own them, the truth is they can own you if you let them.
