We arrived at the West Omaha/NE Lincoln KOA in Gretna, NE, on Sunday to begin working on the guest guide for this park as well as for the Pine Grove RV Park in Greenwood, NE. We’ll stay at the KOA for a week and then move 12 miles to the other park for two weeks.
Both parks are nice with friendly staff and the countryside between Omaha and Lincoln is beautiful. For once we can report the weather has been beautiful with lows in the 50s and the highs in the 70s to lower 80s — a lot like fall although they say it’s often still hot this time of year.
Life continues to be good!
And, good is good!
Yes it is, Monte!
That can’t be Nebraska. There are trees in the shot! Oh, yeah. They are the home/birthplace of Arbor Day and of the slogan, The Good Life! My bad. Carry on! :D
Paul, we’re as amazed as anyone of how nice this area west of Omaha is. Another ill conceived perception bites the dust when exposed to reality.
As a native of Nebraska I can attest to the fact there are areas that are simply beautiful there. Sure, most of the state is dedicated to farmland and grazing, but still, it’s there. Most people just see what’s along I-80 or in McCook (Paul!).
I love Nebraska. It’s home.
Hehehe, John! I thought that McCook was representative of the whole state. ;)
We’ll we’re finding Nebraska to be beautiful and very friendly, John. It’s exceeded our expectations.
Nope…just most of it!
