“There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterward you can remove all traces of reality.” — Pablo Picasso
I’m beginning to work through a backlog of photographs. A few of my favorites I’ll post here under “Photography” in the “Along the way” series.

I love all the textures and the variations of color.
Thanks, Tom. I’ve another photo, similar to this, I’ll probably post a little later.
‘Tis a fine one Earl…
pj, thanks…it’s good hearing from you! :-)
Excellent shot, EB.
Thanks, Ken!
My first thought when I saw this image was that if it was in black and white it would look very much like rock surfaces I’m used to seeing out west. Isn’t it strange how our own experiences / memories affect our interpretation of someone else’s work. A very good photograph, EB, and very, very sharp. An iphone or EM1 image? If EM1, which lens?
Paul, thanks! Yes our cumulative experiences really define how we view things…at least initially. A good argument for seeing and experiencing as much as possible.
This is an iPhone 5s image…I had to go back into LR and confirm that fact. :-)
Wow! I’m always being impressed by the art of nature. :-)
Me too, Monte, me too! :-)
Me likey mucho
Good, and thanks!
A wonderful abstract – at first glance I thought it was a double exposure. The colours and lines flow through the image very effectively. Great shot, Earl
Thanks, Andy. Nope, no photographic “trickery” with this one. Nature was more creative then I could have ever been. :-)
