Yesterday, an uneventful 210 mile drive brought us to Hardeeville, SC, half-way to our final job training destination of Myrtle Beach, SC. We’ll stay here a few days before continuing on to Myrtle Beach for a week of training.
This RV park is nicely laid out along Jasper Lake. Adjacent is Sergeant Jasper Lake Park which has hiking trails in the area and around the lake. We’ve only partially explored the trails thus far.
The terrain is noticeably different then what we’ve experienced over the last few months. With sandy soil you can hardly get a tie down to hold firm. Now we’ve got clay soil and I can hardly drive a tie down into it. I’m also beginning to feel the sinus stuffiness of allergies since we’ve arrived. I was lucky to avoid those allergies in northern Florida and I’m hoping we are past the worst of what spring has to offer!
Bonnie and I are both eager to complete our week of training and find out which direction we will be heading next. Eager yes, but also enjoying the the landscape for the next few days we have until we begin “work.”
Awesome, on the third image. Well enjoy your time here And post more images.
Thanks, Monte. All of these images were made with my iPhone — it’s pretty amazing what that little device can do. I honestly don’t think there’s been a day since starting this adventure we haven’t enjoyed.
I have to agree with Monte. I love shot of the lake and the sunset. I’m interested to see what your “work” will be like.
Thanks on the photo, Paul. Yeah, we’re also interested to see what our “work” will be like! :-)
