Under the moss-covered oak trees at Lake Park, Georgia.

We traveled a little over 240 miles yesterday from Holt, Florida, located in the western panhandle, to Lake Park, Georgia. It’s our first move outside of Florida in almost three months and we were certainly ready to leave!

While we needed Florida state residency and vehicular registration completed it felt like we were in a holding pattern all that time. But those tasks are completed and our original plans were to head west, certainly not back east for job training. Even a month ago I would have laughed at the mention of the possibility of having a  traveling lifestyle job.

It all rings true of the old Yiddish proverb, “We plan, God Laughs” or as Woody Allen put it, “If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.”

We’re here for only a few days.

  1. You never know where the road of life will lead us but that’s also what makes it interesting.

  2. Looks very inviting. Would be hard to leave.

    • Yeah, the shade and scenery is nice but the sites are a bit used/old and the bugs are hungry and active. :-) We’re on target to arrive at Myrtle Beach on May 31 with training beginning June 1st. One more stop between here and Myrtle…
