“There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the (current) story.” ― Frank Herbert
We depart Carrabelle, FL, in a couple of days and I felt a sunset photo was appropriate. We’ve enjoy our month long visit here.
Maggie will certainly miss the beach — she loves her twice daily walks and play time in the water! This lifestyle has changed her. She’s much more confident and outgoing then before. We sometimes have to ask ourselves, “Who is this dog?”
If she could have the thought I wonder if she would think we’ve changed also?
Our training for the new on-the-road job will be with an experienced training couple at a Myrtle Beach, SC, RV resort. The training schedule required a major change to our plans of traveling west/north-west when leaving Florida. After a frantic morning of dodging all the Memorial Day events, we’ve plotted a new route to get us where we need to be for this training. We’ll learn during our training week where we’ll go next.
It’s going to be a busy time for a bit but we’re excited about the new experiences this will give us.
Yes, I imagine Maggie notices changes in you as well. In fact her change could be the result of your transformation. Enjoy the traiNing and the new adventure.
Very insightful, Monty. You may be right about all our changes being linked. Thanks, I’m sure we’ll enjoy the training…if they can teach a couple of old dogs like us anything! :-)
I’m actually going to ha training session at the Harmony Library. As I volunteered for there Summer Reading Program for the little tykes.
Outstanding, Monte! That sounds like a lot of fun and rewarding for you as well as them. That’s really great!
It’s all for the dog… Always. :-)
Beautiful shot.
You’re one hundred percent right, Mark…Always.
Thanks…it’s actually an iPhone5s photo.
Thank heaven for those iphones, huh? I used mine a lot more than I thought I would on our last trip. The great thing about them is that they’re always in focus (assuming there’s enough light). The not-so-great thing is that it makes me lazy. A very good sunset picture, by the way.
Have fun in Myrtle Beach, although I’m guessing it’ll be a bit crowded. I have to say that Myrtle Beach ain’t my favorite spot on the east coast. The only place I like less is Ocean City. Way too crowded for my tastes.
I’ve used my iPhone a lot also and I have to say they do a decent job of taking photos for use on the internet. I agree about the lazy part. Thanks, on the photo.
We’re a little disappointed with training being at Myrtle Beach. It’s not our favorite spot either. We were hoping for someplace new to us and like you we’re not fans of crowds. But, perhaps there will be interest assignments after training — keeping that positive attitude. :-)
There will be about three stops between here and Myrtle. We’d made an appointment to have our truck serviced in Crestview, FL, next Monday so we’re keeping that stop and then we begin working our way east and north.
I know that you’re both excited about your new opportunity, but I’ll be interested in your thoughts on this “detour” of sorts so soon out of the gate. I suppose the long term rewards will outweigh the temporary change of direction.
Neither one of us went into this looking for a job. This job literally found us and offers the opportunity to continue doing mostly what we have been doing while getting paid for it. It’s an easy “change of direction.”
You just can’t stay away from work, can you Earl? :D Happy travels and training. Watch out for those people in RVs driving slowly along the road during the holiday! Not everyone has upgraded tires, ya know!
When I look…nothing…when I don’t look…they find me…what’s a guy to do? Thanks, Paul, and I’ll certainly be on the look-out!
