One of the easiest ways to keep track of updates to blogs you follow is by subscribing to the blog RSS feed so any updates will show in your RSS feed reader of choice. Since early 2007 I’ve been using Feedburner to manage the Meandering Passage RSS feeds. If you subscribed the Meandering Passage RSS Feed you were automatically redirected to Feedburners republishing.
Feedburner was a very good product when I started using it and a short time later was acquired by Google. Since Google’s take-over, Feedburner, in my opinion, has been allowed to slowly die upon the vine with few if any updates or improvements. I’ve also recently been experiencing RSS Feed problems which seem related to Feedburner.
Therefore, I’m taking back my feeds and will use the built in WordPress RSS Feed engine — I’ll need help of any who are subscribed. I need you to update you subscription URL. You can do this one of two ways. You can simply unsubscribe and then resubscribe to Meandering Passage or you can manually change the feed URL in your feed reader.
The old Feedburner URL is:
and should be changed to the new URL of
“http://meanderingpassage/feed/”
I’ll keep the old Feedburner feed running for a while.
Thank-you for your help and understanding in this.
I think I’ve updated the feed on Feedly, although it doesn’t seem to like the new address. We’ll see and I’ll let you know if there are any issues.
Still like to call you Earl, though. ;)
Hi Tom. I monitor/subscribe to my own feeds so I’ll know what this site is publishing and the recent changes appear to be okay thus far. Thanks and welcome back. :-)
