You should always have an objective eye and notice when there might be a disconnect.
Two thoughts on the “please use other door” sign…
a) It’s reassuring to think this door may not be the “beautiful” entrance door to the “house of beauty.”
or
b) maybe they’re just routing those of us not beautiful to a different door? :-)
Maybe a few cinder blocks on the foundation, replace the rotting wood, doors and window, a new roof and a coat of paint and it’s beautiful. Of course,if it had all that you probably wouldn’t have taken the photo. I won’t tell Pam.
Ken, perhaps it was indeed beautiful at one time…but things change, sometimes not for the better. A little maintenance and TLC is definitely needed. I did sanitize the photo to remove the phone number on the sign…to protect Pam. :-)
That, my friend, is called a Handyman Special, or a fixer-upper. :) Beautiful in the eyes of some – good bones perhaps. You seem to be quite handy with the tools of the trade, Earl. Perhaps you should purchase and revivify it! :D
Hummmm…first thing that sign would have to go…to much pressure on the success of the flip! Maybe it could be called the “House of just okay.” :-)
LOL! I’m thinking that you might need to work on the selling end of things, Earl. ;)
Since it seems to have been a beauty salon, maybe you enter one door looking bedraggled and come out this door looking beautiful. Before and after. Same owners as the submarine sailboat?
Didn’t stay around to see if anyone beautiful came out. Hummm…same owners as the submarine sailboat…that could explain a lot. Good thinking, Monte. Thanks! :-)
