Snow, sleet and ice continued last night and into today. It’s a big winter storm for around here but as Paul M. pointed out in comments on my previous post the weather forecast is predicting 70º F in about a week so perhaps it’s made even more beautiful knowing it will not last very long. :-)
Here’s some photos taken around my home and neighborhood.
I know snow is unusual down there but “pink snow”?!?
Ken, I’d have thought you’d had enough of the plain white snow by now! :-)
Well – It can be nice as long as it doesn’t wreck too much havoc. With 70 deg temps coming to you, I think these scenes will be changing dramatically. :-)
Mark, not to rub it in, but we went for a ride in our convertible with the top down yesterday…that seemed weird.
It certainly was a fun time. Now, all that remains is a bit of snow in the shade. My backyard still has a bit of the white stuff hanging ’round. I see that they’ve changed the forecast from upper 70s to upper 50s, but that’s OK by me. :)
Paul, yeah, it’s hard not to believe that spring is going to be here very soon with temperatures like they are now.
Snow can be beautiful and changes the familiar world around us to something new as your images show. One thing the snow and cold offer is the appreciation of sunny skies and warmer temperatures.
Oh, I don’t need as much snow and cold as you guys have to appreciate these warmer sunny skies. I hope a nice spring finds us all soon.
I don’t know how I missed this post, but I’m glad these scenes are a distant memory. Snow on porch furniture is quite the cliché around here but that photo is my favorite.
Tom, yeah, it does seem longer ago then it was. I’m not beyond a little cliché. :-)
