Fireworks displays, big and small, are most often associated with celebrating the 4th of July, Independence Day, the adoption of the Declaration of Independence thereby founding the United States of America.

For those in the USA — Happy 4th of July!

I didn’t go out to see fireworks, but I would have liked to see a display such as this, kids in a field having a good time. The one advantage of all of this rain that we are having … very low risk for fire!

I’ll have to see if I can catch some of the Carowinds’ fireworks. They are doing them nightly for a whole week and I can actually see them from my street, but a short drive around the corner would bring much better viewing.

Your photo, here, reminded me of the many 4th of July fireworks that I participated in as kid, both in viewing, and in displaying. :)
