“Never insult an alligator until after you have crossed the river.” ~ Cordell Hull
A short visit along the coast in South Carolina provided an opportunity to observe some wildlife and beautiful gardens. However, the unseasonably hot and humid temperatures made mornings the only reasonable times to be out and about for any extended period of time.
With this kind of quality photograph, Bonnie should have her own photo blog.
Ken, thanks. Well, Bonnie can get “published” here without the work and overhead associated with a blog of her own so I doubt she’d see any advantage! :-)
My motto is never insult an alligator whether crossing the river or not. Nice shot Bonnie and I hope you used a telephoto lens and not a wide angle. Glad you guys are getting out and about!
Thanks, Monte.
Huntington Beach hasn’t become a national park, has it? Or is that just an error under the picture? Actually, we could use a few more national parks in the eastern U.S.
I remember being there some years ago – it was then that I learned how fast these creatures can move on land. Scary buggers, aren’t they………
Paul, nope not national…just a loose nut on the keyboard…me! It’s a state park. Thanks.
Hopefully you didn’t feel like hurling insults towards this guy while Bonnie photographed it, you know, to get a more exciting, action-packed photo. :) Good to see a post, too.
Nope…I’m a pacifist when it comes to most reptiles…they can have their space and I’ll keep to mine. Thanks!
Great advice!
Hi Steve…thanks!
Wow! That’s a neat shot
Thanks, James.
