An enjoyable afternoon walk yesterday along wooded paths at nearby Sloan Park were there were definite displays of fall just around the corner. I’m looking forward to it.
With the terrible Summer months the nation has been through, Fall seems a welcome relief. And what’s better for photographers than fall foliage? Very nice captures, Earl.
Steve, we actually never got into full drought mode this summer and it’s been wet the last couple of weeks. Glad to hear you’re getting some beautiful weather now.
Tis and enjoyable season for me as I like the change in temperatures and colors. Last night we had our first snowfall in the high country. So today when we flew over the mountains all I could do was smile with the white stuff on the mountains. Love the leaf image!
There has certainly been a nip in the air the last week or so. And I saw a forecast for lows in the 40s this weekend. I’m not anxious for winter, but the relief from the heat has been welcome.

Ken, I agree…I wish fall was an extra long season and then we could compress Winter/Spring/Summer into what was left over. :-)
Thanks!
Glad to hear about the rain. We, on the other hand are having the best weather of the entire summer!

Monty, Wow…snowfall all ready. I’m not ready for that yet! Thanks!

Tom, yeah, I love these crisp mornings and then it warming up to comfortable temps later in the day. Really makes you feel alive doesn’t it.
Earl, I am hoping fall amounts to more than brown leaves. :-)
From what I read that could happen with many trees in areas of drought.
Looks like your wooded path has plenty of opportunity ahead though, too early to call it for sure.
