As elections draw closer the road sides are full of “VOTE FOR” signs these days.
However, yesterday while celebrating a beautiful day with a cruise in the convertible we came upon this road-side political sign in Badin, NC. I simply had to pull over and get a photo of it.
I don’t recall having seen a direct “DO NOT VOTE FOR” sign before…and the skull and crossbones on the sign are a clincher. :-)
A little after-the-fact research uncovers Mr. Tony M. Dennis is a Republican Commissioner – At-Large in Stanly County, NC, accused of a “Party First, Country Second” voting record…which it seems some citizens may not be appreciating any longer. Heck…isn’t that standard Republican Party operating procedure these days.
I can’t wait for the elections to be over.
I can’t wait either!!!
I’m with Steve.
Add me to your list of supporters, Earl. Kathy & I wisely got ourselves out of Charlotte for last week’s shenanigans. The whole process has gotten out of hand, but that’s all I’ll say about that.
The convertible trip sounds wonderful. We hope to be up for a day trip or even an overnight in the next couple of weeks. I’ll shoot you a note off-line and see how your schedule looks. Maybe we could meet up somewhere.
Tom, I’m trying to ignore as much of the political hogwash as I can but it’s hard to do.
As much notice as possible on that day trip would be appreciated. We’ve got a grandchild due the second half of Oct and baby showers in between — Bonnie’s schedule is getting tight.
I had a good laugh with this sign, thanks. I even cringe when I hear someone talking about the election and have never experienced this before. I, also will be glad when November is over. I also hope they take the signs down quickly, what an eye sore for me.
Monte, you know they never remove the signs as quickly as they put them up. :-)
Yeah – that’s a unique one for me too. I think I would have also stopped to take a pic – and it would be the first pic ever I took of an election sign. :-)
