This photo is definitely a created scene, not a found one.
It started with a toy metal truck I picked out to decorate remodeled shelves — you can see it on the left side of the shelves in the “after” photo here. I staged and photographed it on the corner of my desk and then brought it into Photoshop to create grass and add a background from another photo.
I like this truck, perhaps because I use to love playing with toy trucks as a child. It’s not realistic but it’s got a lot of detail and character. It was also a fun project to do.
I like it Earl! More, more!
Eric, thanks…perhaps there will be. :-)
That is fantastic, Earl. Perhaps you can print it and hang up. Great work!
Thanks, Paul…I may just do a printed copy.
Your Photoshop (and photography) skills are excellent, Earl. Like Paul said – this is wall worthy.
Ken, no I have a long ways to go in Photoshop…I know just enough to be dangerous. :-) Thanks!
This is awesome, Earl, and looks very life like. Well done!!!
Monte, thanks. I don’t know about “life Like,” but I liked the looks of it.
Wow! is a good word for it. When I first saw it I though you’d gone Lensbaby on a real truck you discovered tucked away, but knowing it’s a set up toy truck makes it all that more impressive. Excellent work, Earl!
I appreciate that John. Thanks!
really, really cool…
pj, thanks!
Nice job Earl. Think this will work with some of my Star Wars figures?
Mark, I’m sure it would work. ;-)
Very sensitively captured, Earl. Well lit and excellent PS job too. We should all start make more art is the immediate thought that come out of me. Just for the joy of it.
