Two photos made during last Saturday’s photo walk around Salisbury. Tom, Paul and I were all shooting the same general scene at this point, each with a different camera and lens, standing on a bridge over the tracks.
In the first photo I noticed the young man with the “coffee” cup walking across the bridge and waited for him to turn and look at the train passing beneath. The grey car crossing on a distant bridge beyond the one the man is on was pure luck — I didn’t even notice it until uploading the photos.
The nice thing about shooting in early spring is the sky is often graced with interesting clouds instead of the blank blue/grey slate found during much of the summer. In the far distance, the structure with the red roofing, off to the left is the Salisbury Train Station.
What are the chances that three photographers whose blogs I follow get together, go off shooting and post those shots? It’s interesting to see what each person shoots, interprets and shares when together on such an obviously beautiful day.
Ken, in this particular case the chances are about 100%…easy to say that after the fact. :-)
I’ve found it to have been a wonderful experience, not only sharing views and opinions on the day of the walk but also later catching a glimpse of, as you stated, their views and interpretations through photography. It puts a person behind the blog and photos, certainly an experience I’d repeat any time.
I like that you guys are sharing images of what you each saw and experienced. And, hooray for the clouds of Spring. :-)
