Tuscany, Italy – Landscape
ByEarlPeople travel to Italy for no other reason then to visit the Tuscany (Tuscana) region, of which Florence is the capital. It’s a region known for its gorgeous landscapes, its rich artistic legacy and its influence on high culture. Movies have been made about it and you often hear how beautiful and relaxing the life-style it is.

I like that quote, makes me think. This mornings walk was a bit brisk, cuz the temperature was hovering at 15 degrees with heavy fog and hoar frost. This path looks much warmer.
Monte, winter’s a relative term and the definition here is, at the moment, much milder then there…I’m okay with that! ;-)
Thanks and have a good weekend…keep warm!
Enjoy the weekend and stay warm!
I have always found if your eyes are wide open, you will always see and learn something new every time.
Steve, I couldn’t agree with you more. There’s always something new or some new way of seeing things — you just have to “be willing” to find it.
Have a good weekend my friend!
The backlighting gives the woods a very inviting look that appeals to me. Well done.
Don, yeah, the backlighting made this shot and was drew me in. Thanks and a good weekend to you.
I couldn’t help but notice that you nailed the exposure beautifully here. The sky is not blown away and the shadows in the trees is very intriguing.
Ken, thanks. A good deal of credit has to go to the Nikon D700 I took this with…it’s got a decent dynamic range. I’m pretty sure if I’d shot this scene with my Olympus 4/3’s E-P2 these results would have been harder to come by. Have a good weekend!
As I slave away here catching up on computer work, this looks like a great escape Earl – and like Monte mentioned, much warmer than the woods were yesterday for me.
Mark, I’m sure it was warmer then Michigan…and that’s okay by me. ;-)
I’d love to go for a walk in that wonderful forest! The interplay between light and shade is absoutley beautiful.
