Even with the economy as it is and unemployment so dreadfully high most people could come up with a list of things to be thankful for. I try to be aware of things to be thankful for as I go about each day, sometimes not so successfully, but the essence of it hits home here on the American Thanksgiving Holiday as it presents a moment to contemplate.
I have family and friends I love and enjoy, I live in relative comfort with everything I need and numerous things I want, and while I feel myself getting older each day I’m still doing well health wise — at least as far as I know.
I also have the love and adventure of photography and this blog to keep my mind and creative soul happy. It’s become such a day-to-day part of my life I sometimes forget how much it gives back to me.
Of course, I’m also thankful for those who read and comment on this blog.
So for all the above and much more, I’m thankful.
Those of you who celebrate the holiday…have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
There is always much to be thankful for in my life. Happy Thanksgiving to you!
I always enjoy your images, Earl. Thanks for posting!
The holiday is a great opportunity to reflect on those things that are important to us. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Day, Earl.
What a beautiful post. Thank you, Earl, for a wonderful Thanksgiving message, complete with perfect illustrations. Your list of things to be thankful for sounds a great deal like mine and I appreciate your having expressed it all so effectively. Have a wonderful day tomorrow. Love and laugh.
And a Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Earl!
And, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
Nice still life shot. Your thankful for many of the same things I too enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Your table looks very inviting, and I love your wonderful decoration with the pumpkins and autumn leaves.
I’ve lots to be thankful for, too, Earl. That’s a beautiful arrangement that you have there.
