Transition
ByEarlhttps://meanderingpassage.com//wp-content/uploads/images/2020/05/EBM-20150306104741.jpg Recently, when walking our dog Maggie, I noticed several new dogs in the neighborhood. I guess staying-at-home families decided it was an excellent time to adopt a new pet. I hope they’ve also thought of how to cope with a pet when they return to a more regular schedule. Many of these new…

Air Plants – Evolving To Survive
ByEarlAir plants, or Tillandsia, are fascinating epiphytes that thrive without soil, extracting moisture and nutrients from the air through their specialized leaves. These unique plants have evolved to survive in various environments, often clinging to tree branches or rocky surfaces in tropical and subtropical regions. They possess small trichomes, hair-like structures that help absorb water…

Each As Our Own Museum
ByEarlWhat would it be like if our lives were a museum we could visit? Each exhibit represents a moment in our lives, a memory frozen in time. We are the curators of our museum, carefully choosing what we want to display for the world to see. Like in a museum, I’m sure some exhibits would…

Earl,
When was this taken? Last time I visited Bodie was under wraps for restoration.
Thanks

Hi Tom, this was taken this past weekend on May 1st, Sunday.
Earl,
Thanks. Time to revisit.
BTW – I forgot – very nice shot.
Tom
Nice capture and great tones! Those early morning photos are definitely worth waking up for, specially if they come out like this one. I’ve never been to the Outer Banks, even though I was stationed @ Fort Bragg for about 5 years. I should have taken the opportunity then! Nice photo Earl
Thanks! Sorry you missed seeing the Outer Banks, they’re certainly worth the trip.
I like the lighting this time-of-day gave the lighthouse. The image has such a solid and quiet mood about it. Very effective shot.
Thanks, Don. It was a very quiet visit with not many people around…the way I like it. :-)
Hi, very nice images, haven’t been here for sometime had to catch up. We are now in our 2nd home in Florida and I hope to get back shooting more reguraly, also finally got this PC fixed. I went to see the Outer Banks back in 2000 after my son graduated from Ft. Jackson, well worth going out of the way to see.
Hi Don C. Thanks! Enjoy that warmer weather in Florida. You’re what many full time residents in Florida would call snowbirds…flying south for the winter. Soon it will be time to head back north. Sounds like a pretty good arrangement to me. :-)
This is one lighthouse I’ve yet to see up close and personal. I’ve gotta change that. Love the deep blue in the sky.
Monte, thanks!
Bodie Lighthouse is a bit different in it’s not located directly on the ocean coast. But it’s a nice visit.
