Somewhere among the warm temperatures and bright sunshine of last week and the down pouring rain of this past weekend, SPRING appears to have arrived!
Even while walking among it at lunch, taking these photos, I’m not sure I totally believe it yet.
Snows have been known to occur here until at least the end of March or later.
Still, what a treat to witness this — and there were many other blooms as well.
Earl, enjoy it while you can!!
Steve, Oh, I will and did today during my lunch break. :-)
Jeez, way to make a guy jealous.
Mark, listen at you talk…just back from a Caribbean diving trip. I’m the one jealous. ;-)
What a stunning view, I love those pastel pink and rosy tones of the blossoms. When spring arrives a whole new world opens up and it always impels me to go for long walks, breath in the spring air and take tons of pictures. You image is beautifully composed, the bench balances out the huge dark trees to the right. I hope you’ll find plenty of time to enjoy that wonderful park!
Martina, well I was rather stunned for sure but the sudden turn to Spring. Thanks!
I’m with Mark – all we have to show for this past weekend in western NY is about 7 inches of new snow. Spring around here is like spotting unicorns in your backyard. Very much a rare event.
My kind of image, Earl. A bench with a path disappearing into the frame. Makes me want to go for a walk (as soon as the snow clears, that is).
Paul, yeah, you guy in the Northeast have certainly gotten hammered with winter this year. I hope your Spring isn’t too far behind the one photographed here.
A camera, a bench and a path almost always guarantees I’ll take a photo. Thanks!
Enjoy it while it lasts!
JP, thanks, I’m certainly trying to.
I’m with Mark and Paul, Earl. I would love to go outside wearing shoes instead of boots. Nice photos, I’m jealous.
Ken, I hope you can break out your shoes soon… Thanks!
I have my sandals on this morning, even though it’s only 27 degrees here, but the sunshine has this Spring time feeling so I’m gonna wear them. It was scenes like your image that I enjoyed so much in Ohio.
Monte, well I figured I’d have you with the bench. :-)
A beautiful view, Earl. When I left for Texas a couple of weeks ago, there was nothing on the trees. When I returned, a week later … BAM! Spring had arrived. I’m enjoying marveling at all of the blossoms on the trees as well as the fine weather we are having. It is indeed a glorious time of year.
Paul, thanks. It definitely switch over to spring quickly here. One day…winter and the next…spring.
