Bull Hole, Cooleemee, NC
Granite outcroppings and dam overflow in afternoon sunlight.

A photo I didn’t think much of at the time but came to like with minor cropping and post-processing.

This rock formation is just below the dam at Bull Hole, Cooleemee, NC, where I often enjoy visiting and shooting. It’s about 20 minutes from my home.

I had planned to write more tonight but my mind is numb so I’ll have to save it for later.

Happy February!

Earl,

I love the texture and depth. I’m a big fan of water/rocks, and I loke the gentle flow of the water.

I also enjoy looking back over the archives and finding something I like to play with. I may do that a lot today as I sit in this hotel room waiting for the weather to clear. And, Happy February to you and Bonnie!

I am a major fan of returning to old folders looking for hidden treasures. It doesn’t alway pan out, but sometimes we just need perspective on an image. However that business works, I am delighted that you didn’t discard this one. What a visual feast. This is almost an abstract with wonderful colors, shapes, and lines, along with textures that make my fingertips tingle with the sensation. All, of course, brought to life by beautiful use of light. You may not have found words, but the essential elements of your creative being were cooking for this one.

A fine shot with nice color and textures. I especially like the angles formed in the rocks and the small waterfall makes a fine focal point. Very nice image.
