With a week of heavy rain and thunder storms everything here is indeed green. Our yard was mowed Tuesday and it’s looking as if it may require mowing again this weekend.
Now of course this photo isn’t from our yard, it’s wet but hasn’t reverted to swamp or wetlands yet. :-) This is another photo from Florida of deep blue blooms which caught my eye.
I haven’t recently mentioned “Foster,” our family dog, and his seizures because I’ve been keeping his page, linked in header menu, updated for any interested. The seizures at this point are regulated to about one every two months, which is wonderful. This past winter high med-levels had him sedated much of the time and he gained weight — that’s actually an under-statement, the boy got fat. This spring we’ve been working to get him back in shape with daily walks, a measured diet and a slight reduction in his meds. A wonderful side benefit is it’s helping me, but I can’t blame my status on meds. ;-)
A lovely shade of blue. Florida can provide many an oppurtunity to shoot.
Hope Foster does OK.
Don, yes, however often just a change in scenery opens up the floodgates of inspiration. Probably someone coming from Florida would arrive here and say…”Wow, what wonderful photographic opportunities you have here.” :-)
You make me laugh, Earl. My guess is too many unmeasured spoonfuls of food at the dinner (and breakfast and lunch) table was the cause. I laugh again because I have those same meds.
Along with the rain comes the thunderstorms and from what I hear you guys had some dandies last night. I too love the green, mixed with blues, reds, yellows, purples. Love the Spring!
You’re on to me, Monte! ;-)
We have also had a very wet spring! For the month of June thus far we have received over two inches of rain and yes things are as green as it gets.
Steve, I think we’re probably a little ahead of you for June. I emptied almost three inches from the rain gauge this morning which had accumulated in the last two days. That was in addition to almost four inches the last week of May. I just hope we don’t have any high winds or we might loose some trees with the ground being saturated.
Like the touch of blue Earl.
You don’t have to tell me what rain does for growing grass/weeds. Just spent 10 days on an extended project shooting and it rained enough while I was gone to create a hay field out of my yard.
Ray, thanks. I can imagine how much your yard grew in 10 days, I don’t think I’ve went more the 5-6 days between mowing this spring. I wish someone would offer to mow it for the hay. ;-)
Great news about Foster!
Hey thanks, Chris. Yes, a single seizure every two months sure beats the cluster seizures every 7-9 days he was having at one time.
