It’s a fact when photographing I can get lost in the details of framing up-close or abstract compositions to the determent of the “larger” picture. I’ve found this trait in myself a little unexpected…
During all of the recent heat, rain and high humidity we’ve been having I’ve observed an over abundance of mushrooms along the trails of my morning walks.
I like how the light sifts into the picture to show the leaves so well. The deeper surrounding wall makes for a fine contrast in the image. Beautiful shot.
That little patch of light amidst the dark mysterious forest is compelling. This one makes me want to find a comfortable stump to sit on and just drink in the scene for a while.

@Anita Jesse – It was early morning and the long fading shadows and rays of first sun did provide some mystery to the scene.
