I noticed the geese sunning and grooming themselves on this rock, strategically located in the middle of the river, but it was only after I slowly worked closer along the river bank and then out onto another upstream rock formation I became aware they had the company of several turtles as well. All seem okay with sharing this bit of warm and dry granite with each other but the geese loudly let it be known there would not be room for me.
I quietly took a few photos and moved on.
A fine capture of the geese enjoying a fine, isolated rock. It’s interesting that the turtles don’t seem to bother them, or be bothered. Fine river shot.
They let you know the penalty for lack of a reservation, did they?
@Don: I was surprised also that they seemed to get along so well.
@Anita: Perhaps next time I’ll call ahead! ;-)
Great capture of teh geese with the turtles.
