Cool. My first Apple OS X update! :-)
Yea, I’ve upgraded a couple of Mac computers and haven’t experienced any problems so it looks like a good upgrade.
Worked just fine for me. I am up-to-date!
Mine was updated too, yesterday evening. Worked as a charm, as always.
@Paul, @Ove: In my years of experiences with Macs I’ve had only one update that didn’t go well…that one was my own fault. :-)
Well, now I’m getting frequent lockups with Lightroom since I installed 10.5.7. :-( I see in the forums that other people are getting lots of freezes in different applications. Oh no! Sometimes, it takes a reboot to get Lightroom back. Force Quit won’t even work!!!
Paul: I’ve got it running on four different Macs and haven’t experienced any issues to this point. Are there any solutions for this being discussed on the forums?
A few people have been able to clear up problems by running the verify permissions and then fixing any that were wrong. I did this. It found several hundred, it seems, incorrect permissions. I allowed it to fix them. This seemed to get rid of the double sleep problem, which was where if you put your computer to sleep, woke it, then sleep again, it would lock up and require a reboot via a hard power down.
I was still experiencing Lightroom lockups; however, I have since disconnected a couple of USB devices, Magic Jack, and my Wacom tablet, to see if one of those drivers was causing an issue. After disconnecting, no lockups so far; however, the lockups appear at random times, so if I don’t get any after a couple of days, I will ‘know’ that it has to do with one of the devices.
I’ll keep you posted.
