My mornings usually start with a cup of coffee while sitting in front of my computer to scan all the unread items accumulated in my feed reader overnight.
Often, I’ll only scan titles to see if there’s been any revelation during the night I’d be interested in–with 300+ feeds I don’t even pretend to keep up with them all in detail.
Published work by friends or respected acquaintances are read in depth and I’m always vigilant for posts that grab my interest or seem to offer unique perspectives in line with current interest.
Not to go into detail, but with this mornings reading I found one of those gems the Internet makes possible. Consuming links and concepts I was 40 minutes and five layers deep when I reached a stopping point. No doubt I’ll return for further investigation but at the moment my mind is full and requires time to digest all I’ve absorbed.
While this particular subject may have been a gem of new thought only for me, I’m sure each of you have experienced similar “Ah-ha” moments–extremely satisfying moments.
It’s those which keep my feed reader alive with an ever changing assortment of feeds.
