I haven’t taken many photos recently. It could be due to a lack of opportunity or of motivation, perhaps more so motivation.
Today the wife and I, along with our dog, went to a local park for a walk. During walks such as these, the wife takes the dog and goes out ahead while I try to remain within sight, stopping to take photographs every few minutes. I usually end up with lots of photos that I weed through carefully after returning home.
During our photographic walk-about today I was thinking how much I enjoyed photography.
When temporarily distracted from it, it’s nice to rediscover that level of satisfaction and enjoyment upon picking it back up.
For today’s walk it was in the mid-sixties and very windy. So windy, the ducks had to be constantly paddling to keep from being blown down wind. The trees in the forest were moaning loudly as their tops swayed and our dog seemed especially alert with all of the extra noise and scents the winds provided.
A good walk.
Sounds a like a great walk. It was quite windy and I enjoyed every minute of it. All was quiet in the house and I listed to the creaks, groans, and protestations from the house, sat by a window, and took in the breeze. I didn’t go out shooting, but enjoyed the day nonetheless.
You are 100% right about the photography. I enjoy it so much that it’s hard to be away from it, even for a little while.
