I saw the announcement from Loren Feldman at 1938 Media that he’s no longer associated with PodTech Networks. I can’t work up much enthusiasm on either side of this break-up.  I think Loren has an edge and angle to his video media that’s sometimes entertaining to watch, but I also find he’s best taken in small doses.

I wonder if this break-up had anything to do with the “Black Tech Blogger” video cast “train wreck” that Loren did.  It wasn’t funny, was in poor taste and basically offensive.  Maybe the reason for the business break-up is published somewhere and I just haven’t seen it.

As far as Podtech Networks goes I can’t honestly say that they move me one way or the other.  If they disappeared tomorrow would I notice or care? I’m sure someone else would quickly fill in any void they might temporarily leave.

It was interesting reading Robert Scoble’s “Things on my mind…” post a couple of days ago.  I’ve come away from this with two distinctively different thoughts.

First I feel for Robert because I think he’s probably a nice guy.  I don’t know him and have never met him but he strikes me as being basically genuine and honest.  Recently he’s had some things said about and of him that aren’t true or completely far.  In addition I’m sure there’s more going on then he mentioned in his post.  Plus there’s that new baby coming.  He’s probably stressed out a bit.

My second take on this is if he thinks many of the A-list bloggers and sites are looking like pond scum from above, he should see it from here below.  It’s not a pretty picture when you see those who have achieved some sort of notoriety acting like badly behaved children (let it go Dave).  Especially when they refuse to hear any other voices but their own.

So Robert, take your R&R and when you come back I hope you find passion for your blogging again!
