This beta realease of NeoOffice has been made available in both PowerPC and Intel versions and provides a more natural Mac OS X native interface. I’m going to have to download this and take a look at it but it sounds promising, it even supports the ISO ODF standard.
Planamesa released NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3, the first public release of the “Aquafied” version of this Mac OS X-native version of the OpenOffice.org office suite. (An early access version was available to subscribers at the beginning of the month.) This release is available in Intel and PowerPC versions for Mac OS X 10.3 and up. According to the release notes:NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3 offers a significantly enhanced “Aqua” appearance, enhanced international input support, as well as significantly improved overall performance over NeoOffice 1.2. Based on the latest stable OpenOffice.org codebase (2.0.3), this release also include native open and save dialog support for reading and writing files in the international standard ISO 26300 OpenDocument (ODF) file formats.
