With the sun making an appearance this morning I went for an early walk at a local park. This morning was more about enjoying the walk and time for reflection rather then seeking photo opportunities.
But as always there were photos to be taken. For a change in pace, I switched from the wider lenses I’ve [...]
I didn’t post this weekend, not even my “Weekend Photo” post. I think this lapse of productivity was due to my continual battle with a head cold, weekend dinner and Christmas Party commitments, and a general lack of motivation on my part.
That last “reason” is probably the truer cause!

One of the many pine forest that exist in this area. There’s approximately 115 species of pine trees located over most of the northern hemisphere. While you don’t always think of pines as being long lived, they, depending upon the specie, can live from 100 to a 1,000 years or more.

A few days ago I attended the funeral of a distant relative on my fathers side of the family. I didn’t know this person well and only remember him from family visits as a child. I was there out of respect, because his family had attended my mothers funeral earlier this year and because I [...]
In the last year I’ve been given the opportunity to step off the path and while it may seem to many I haven’t wandered far, for me it’s been a time of self-exploration.
