Most of the Mac news sites have been posting that Parallels Desktop for the Mac is now Universal and will support the new Mac Pro.
Parallels Desktop for the Mac can now run on Mac Pros with up to 3.5 gigs of RAM (things get funky with more RAM), it supports running the developer previews of both Leopard and Vista, and USB support has been improved.

It will also run Windows XP in addition to Vista. Why would you want to run Windows on a Mac you might ask. Well in most cases I wouldn’t, but there is one case I run into occasionally where I need Windows. Some web sites are still written exclusively for Internet Explorer.
My normal reaction when I find a web site that only supports IE is to send an email to tech support or the web master complaining about the situation. Then if possible I’ll go elsewhere to do business. There are times I can’t go somewhere else, so I’ll find a way to use IE just long enough to use their site. Those times are getting fewer and fewer thank goodness.
Now running Linux on a Mac Pro might be interesting.
