Sometime early this morning (East Coast – USA) Version 2.0 software for the iPod Touch was made available for download via Apple iTunes.
It’s not known if availability was the result of a lessening of server load or if Apple released it at this time.
The upgrade is $9.95 for iPod Touch owners and the process includes restoring music, videos, etc. after the upgrade.
The upgrade download size is approximately 220mb in size and no problems were encountered with the update of my own iPod Touch 32gb.
