After watching the Apple WWDC keynote video and reading much of the published news, the one thing that strikes me is that the the lines that separate OS from application, application from application, and local PC or Network from Internet, are quickly disappearing. With the upcoming Leopard and the applications that will go with it, Information and data will flow more seamlessly then ever before. Both 64-bit and 32-bit applications will be able to run side-by-side and you will be able to move between them with simple dragging and clicking. Web applications brought to your own Dashboard. Extreme processing power, storage, and memory, to make incredible media creation happen quickly and smoothly.

I think it’s a clearer glimpse of where Apple’s vision is for it’s computer and the Internet. It’s what Bill Gates talked about and what Apple is doing. It’s going to take some kind of broadband Internet Access speed to make it work the way I think Apple envisions it, but with time that will be there too.

Now if they would only improve the Finder! :-)
