Sweetgum Seed Pods
Sweetgum Seed Pods

You seldom find a single or even a few Sweetgum Seed Pods laying alone on the ground. They all seem to fall from their common tree within the same few days.

So here’s a wider view of the photo area I published yesterday. Some of these will eventually be washed by rain or blown by wind into the river where currents may take them a great distance. Others may never move from this spot and will struggle trying to find a hold in the shifting sands.

Same lens and same focal length as the yesterdays photo, but about twice the distance from the subject(s).

  1. Brought back some great childhood memories of seedpod wars. Thanks Earl

    • Ray, I remember those days as well, and how much it stings if you get hit by one of these pods at close range. :-)
