More macro spring

New spring leaf Here’s two more photos from my macro signs of spring. I have no idea what types of plants these are. I’m terrible at identifying plants.

As a child I remember my mother, my grandmother and my aunts all being able to give the proper names for every plant they came across–especially any type of flowering plant. Their visits with one another always included slow walks through each others flower gardens, sharing new plants and information.

ebm_usnc_200903_3879-Edit.jpgThat ability didn’t take with me–I wish it had. I struggle with plant identification.

If anyone has an easy way to identify wild plants, please share. :-)

I enjoyed your “signs of spring” flowers today. I too have a terrible time with plant identification. I bought a wild flower book but it has so many similar illustrations that it has been no help! :-)

@Don: I’m glad to know it’s not just me that has trouble with the plant identification thing! :-)
