Approximately ten days ago I lost my wallet and wrote a post here titled “Re-Establishing Myself.”

I jokingly stated in that post, “Of course Murphy’s law states that as soon as I have all the new cards and documents my old wallet with turn up

Well, I got my last replacement card yesterday and found my wallet today. ;-)

Where was it?

I found my wallet on the seat of our riding lawn mower. No kidding!

I’d cut the lawn the day I lost the wallet but I’ve a long standing habit of taking my wallet out before mowing so I thought I’d laid it down somewhere unusual in the house, if not lost during the trip to the store.

While the cards in the wallet have been cancelled, I do now have a duplicate copy of my drivers license!

  1. LOL! You called it, dude! I’m glad that it wasn’t really lost, but it is still a pain. BTW, if you have anything automatically charged to the old credit cards, don’t forget to change them.

Bank of America sent me a new debit card because some third party retailer’s records may have been ‘compromised’, and my card had been used at that particular retailer. They never did say who it was. So I got a new card with a new number and expiration date.

Later, the next month, I got a fee charged on my parking because they couldn’t get the money … they had the old card. Sigh… They wouldn’t revoke the fee either. They said that I should have called them immediately and changed the number … like I remembered that! :-)

Heck! I do good to remember where I parked!

  2. @Paul: Thanks, I’ve made all changes.

I felt like such a ‘dufus’ when I found it on the lawn mower but it’s good it wasn’t really lost! :-)
