Mac or Dell: Mac users more likely to participate in the Web?

I came across an article today from Ars Technica via MacMinute concerning the likelihood of users to participate in the web based upon their computers of choice.

The social technography of Web 2.0:
Mac users are almost twice as likely to generate content on the web as Dell users, according to a new report by market research firm Forrester…

…According to the report, Mac users are significantly more likely than Dell users to fall into the “Creators” category—those who publish blogs, web pages, upload videos, and so on—with nearly twice as many Mac users (a bit over 20 percent) being Creators” than Dell users.

This research was done in late 2006 and captures only a small percentage of the web participants, mainly Mac and Dell users. I wonder what of the other categories…i.e. HP, IBM, or Linux users in general?

From my experience, Linux user are always happy to lend their views, help, and experiences…right Richard? ;-)

      I guess the study could probably be called Windows vs OSX users? I don’t think HP users would be significantly different than Dell users. Dunno.

      But it is oh so tempting to say that Mac users create more web content just because the PC users are busy doing *real* work. hehe.

      Of course I’d never say that since I use a PC (with Linux) and do plenty of non-real work too. :)
