MacNN | Ballmer: iPhone has ‘no chance’:The iPhone has no hope of gaining a true foothold in the cellphone marketplace, according to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. The company head told an interviewer at the USA Today that, as with computers, future control of the mobile handset business would primarily depend on software influence rather than hardware. Apple’s insistence on attaching its code to a premium device could prevent it from getting any more than a small percentage of the world’s cellphone user base, Ballmer predicted.

I was working with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty this morning and thinking about Linux in general. Doing a quick sweep around my home I realized counted two wireless routers, a Network Access Storage (NAS) device, a network FTP server, and a Linksys network USB server (currently not being used), all running some version of Linux. In addition I have a duel booting Linux PC (Ubuntu and OpenSUSE) and two virtual copies of Linux (Ubuntu & Kbuntu) on my Mac Pro.
During recent wide ranging conversations with some of my friends I’ve voiced several times that this whole Windows Vista update reminds me of Windows ME (yes I upgraded to ME) release…. But you can’t blame people if they are less then enthusiastic about paying good money for a product who’s claim to fame is that it fixes all the problems of the last version…. | Hardware 2.0 | ZDNet.com:Over the past few weeks I’ve come across a number of articles on tech sites that are putting Windows Vista and Windows Me in the same sentence.

If you take digital photo you might think you have to have some type of utility or application to view the EXIF Data of the photos on your Mac. However, there is a way to view the basic EXIF data in the OS X Finder.Apple – Pro – Tips – Youâ??re Two Clicks from a Photoâ??s EXIF Data:Just click on the photoâ??s icon, then press Command-i to bring up the info dialog. I took a little time this morning and stopped by Dan Nicholas Park to snap a few photos at the wildlife park. Most of the animals there have been injured and could not survive in the wild, but it’s difficult to view them in cages or behind bars. Still, you can appreciate their beauty.
