Viewing a photographic workflow

by Earl Moore on March 18, 2007

Every photographer, amateur or professional, has a uniquely personalized workflow, but there are often many common processes.

I’m always interested in finding a more efficient method for my own workflow and so I find it helpful to view how others work. Paul Lester recently posted his workflow on his “paullesterphoto.com” blog.

Paul Lester Photo; process: “Let me preface what I’m about to say with: This work flow works for me. I’m not saying that is the best, but it works for me. So, that said, let’s go from start to finish.

First, let me say that I don’t shoot raw, so what I discuss here starts with a JPEG file. If you are interested as to why I don’t follow conventional wisdom, which is usually neither, read this article and form your own opinions.”
