Expectations are that when Adobe introduces a universal version of Adobe Photoshop and their Creative Suite  it will mean additional sales and hardware upgrades to the Intel computers for Apple.  Current versions of Adobe Creative Suite (CS2) only runs natively on PPC Macs and under Rosetta on the Intel Macs.  There is currently less then stellar performance for these applications on the new more powerful Intel Macs.

The new universal software versions will be announced by Adobe on March 27th, with actual release later this spring.  This timing, according to rumors, could also coincide with an early release of OS X 10.5, Leopard.

Two versions of Photoshop CS3 coming your way:
When the complete Adobe Creative Suite 3 package is revealed on March 27, Adobe will announce not one, but two distinct versions of Photoshop, including a standard Photoshop CS3 and the new Photoshop CS3 Extended.
