We took a few days and visited South Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for some needed R&R. This presented new photographic opportunities for me to take advantage of.

For me the beach is most enjoyable when it’s off season, not crowded and has temperate temperatures.

The sky was clear yet sunset and sunrise colors were an outstanding pinkish orange…must be something about the lower angle of the sun during winter.

While walking along the beach one evening, the architect of buildings against the sky caught my eye (see photo above). I think it has a southwest flavor.
