As a rule I don’t watch much television these days, but I’d hear that the new show Heroes on NBC might be worth watching. I was not disappointed. This isn’t starting out as your typical story about people who have special powers.

Only a few of the eventual full cast were introduced last night. It seems the human gene pool is on the verge of an evolutionary advancement and these individuals have begun crossing over with special and unusual abilities. I found refreshing the full character development, the rich background, and the worldwide span of the story. The characters came across as your normal screwed up individuals that are scared, confused, and amazed at suddenly being “not normal”. The stories flowed and they were believable. While at first there didn’t seem to be a connection for these people, beyond sharing a common genetic roller coaster ride, by the end of the show you’ll allowed to see that there’s going to be a common interest centered around New York.

Now this show could go bad quickly, but with last nights pilot I’ll be back to watch again.
