Over at LifeDev, Glen Stansberry just completed a five day PM computer fast with some unexpected but welcomed results.

Last week I mentioned that I would be going on a nightly computer ‚Äúfast‚Äù, meaning that I would only be using the computer until I was done working (5-6pm), and shutting it down for the rest of the evening. And believe it or not, I actually did it…

The 5 Day PM Computer Fast: Why I Got More Done In Less Time at LifeDev

During this experiment, Glen discovered that “less is the new more” in that he was able to get more done when he knew he had a limited about of time to do it. He also found that he was able to get an average of two more hours rest each night with out the computer and Internet to keep him up each evening. How many of us haven’t stayed up very late sometimes working on the computer or surfing the web? Not many I dare say.

One other interesting discover Glen made was that his social life improved with out the computer to keep him isolated in the evenings. I saw a study a while back where it showed that this generation of Americans have less friends then ever before. So in that light Glen’s discover is credible.

Glen says he would recommend this fast to anyone.
